Mono-"Life in Mono"
Another great mid-late 90's song. I had all these CD singles. Remember the days of CD singles? I remember going to record shows and getting magazines to order rare cd's and records from. Now you can get whatever you want from the internet. There is no fun in finding rare songs anymore. I remember that there was some music you would search for forever and when you finally got it, it was the most amazing thing.

Sean Penn's other brother-not the fat one who OD'ed but the other one who sang that Romeo in black jeans song.
Whenever I hear this song I think about my friend Jill. She totaled her car while pulling out of her driveway. She said that this song was playing on her tape player after the crash.

The Wild Boys is a bit gay but at the same time sort of bad ass.
There's something about a great cheesy 80's video with special effects. Duran Duran did it up right. There's something strangely hot about a mulleted Simon LeBon tied to a windmill.

Only 2 more months!
We still have no cable so we've been watching DVD's for 4 days straight. We watched almost the entire series of "Arrested Development". I forgot what a good show that was and still can't understand why they took it off the air but shows like "According to Jim" continue on.

Morrissey retiring?
Not according to him.
I would like to stress to members of TTY that the recent quotes on NME.com attributed to me concerning "retirement" and "final concerts" were not made by me, and that the NME are wrong to put my name next to these quotes.
Furthermore, I would like to stress that my knowledge and involvement with "season tickets" and ticket prices for the upcoming shows is zero, and I have nothing at all to do with the way by which tickets are sold or priced. People who think I am involved in that side of the presentation overestimate me - I actually have pitifully short legs - there's only so much I can do.
Thanks to those of you who have bought tickets, and thanks to those even considering coming along. With so many US concerts this year your loyalty has already been over-stretched, so if you decide to pass, that's OK.
Morrissey, 28 August 2007.
Also, Morrissey has made it very clear that their wouldn't be a Smith reunion. I just hope that he keeps to it. Not that I wouldn't love to see the Smiths but Morrissey has stated that he would eat his own testicles before he would reunite the Smiths. I don't want to see him reunite for money or for publicity. It's like The Cure who stated that they would break up in 2000, then made about 3 albums after that. Now they are going to collaborate with Ashlee Simpson??!!?! WTF!? That really makes me not respect them anymore(not that I thought the Cure were ever great).
Morrissey rejects fresh attempt at Smiths reunion
Plus the singer says he won't be touring himself any more
Morrissey has revealed he has turned down a near-£40 million offer to tour again with his old band The Smiths.
The star, who also rejected a request to headline the Coachella Festival with the group in 2006, was asked if he would perform 50 shows throughout the world in 2008 and 2009.
The only condition was that he would have to tour with the band's guitarist and co-songwriter Johnny Marr, thus meaning it the reunion not dependent on the participation of bassist Andy Rourke and drummer Mike Joyce.
Joyce famously won a court case against Morrissey and Marr in 2006, when he sued for royalties from his days in the band. The proceedings caused a massive rift which has never been healed.
The Smiths split up in 1987, shortly after they head recorded their fourth studio album 'Strangeways Here We Come'. Speculation that the band would reform has been rife for years.
Morrissey, currently without a record contract, also revealed that his forthcoming residencies in Los Angeles and New York, revealed by NME.COM earlier this week, are the last live shows he is going to perform "for the foreseeable future".
A statement from the star said of the forthcoming dates: "The desire is to go out with some great memories for everyone as who knows what the future will bring."

Watching this just annoys the shit out of me.
Avril Lavigne might be one of the most annoying people ever. What a fake little bitch. I love the dumb looking fake smile and little two step dance she does. Are we 12? Oh wait, you're 23!

Here's the last leg of Morrissey's tour. I would go to see him in NYC but I may be in labor at that time and I don't want to lose all that money(It costs quite a lot of money to see Morrissey). DAMN YOU MORRISSEY!! WHY COULDN'T YOU COME TO NYC A MONTH EARLIER! YOU ALWAYS CATER TO YOUR MEXICAN FANS!

Britpop video of the day-Babylon Zoo "Spaceman"
I'm pretty sure this is British. I'm not sure if it was actually popular in England in the mid 90's but it was extremely popular when I was in Germany in 1996.

My baby grooves to early 90's music.

Bringing back the 90's
Boys II Men"Motown Philly" - Hell Yeah!! They give props to Philly cheese steaks!
Bell Biv Devoe "Poison" - Me and the crew used to do her. Killer super fake drum beat. And just why is it that they want former SU star wide receiver Rob Moore dead?
Color Me Bad "I Adore,Mi Amor" - A group made up of Kenny G, George Michael Milli and that hispanic guy from "Half Baked".
Stereo MC's "Elevate My Mind" - An underrated band, although the guy sort of looks like Michael Stipe.
Arrested Development "Mr Wendell" - A great social commentary
Bobby Brown "Humpin Around" Hmmm, by this performance I would have never thought that he would do crack.
Snow "Informer" - He'll lick your BUM BUM now. What Brian Austin Green did before he got his big break in Beverly Hills 90210. Suggestion-Sean Paul should remake this.
Warren G and Nate Dogg - "Regulate" This song is still really cool. I still like to pump it on my car tape player and ghetto roll through the hood.
Kayne West-Stronger
I just like the fact that good ol' Kayne "George Bush hates black people" West sampled Daft Punk's "Harder, Better, Faster Stronger"

This is very homoerotic...
Hmmm...okay. There seems to be quite a lot of men taking off their shirts and hugging Morrissey in this video.
It could've been should've been, worse than you would ever know
I still really like this song and I think the video is great. Notice Johnny Marr on guitar. The whole Modest Mouse album, "We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank" is actually extremely good. The guy isn't the greatest singer but I think it really works in most of the songs. I love the melodies.

A major disappointment: handled well
I've been waiting for about 5 months to see Morrissey. I counted down the days and was very excited that the day had finally arrived. We decided to go out to eat at the Munich Haus before the concert. I had one of the best meals I ever had(yes, it really was some of the best food I've ever had). I had the Bavarian Platter which consisted of Schnitzel, Sauerbraten, and various sausages. We always love to fill up on the meat before a Morrissey show. I believe the first time we saw him we ate at White Castle and the second time we had a huge pastrami sandwich at the Carnegie Deli. We had sausage left over and I suggested that we save it to throw at Morrissey.
(I'm just kidding about that. I wouldn't waste this sausage. Remember it was the BEST I've ever had). Anyway, we drove about 20 minutes to the Pines Theater where we saw a sign that the show was cancelled. We assumed that it was due to the weather since it was an outdoor venue and it looked like it was going to storm. When I got home I looked it up and it is actually due to Morrissey being sick. Now normally, I would be extremely upset about this. Don't get me wrong, I'm not happy but I handled it really well. I didn't bitch or cry or swear or anything. For such a major disappointment I was okay with it. Maybe I would've been more upset if I had never seen Morrissey before. I guess the man can't really help if he was sick and plus the weather was really bad. I doubt he will reschedule but you never know.

Arcadia was Duran Duran-only better
Many people probably don't even know who Arcadia are. They were formed in 1985 by Simon LeBon, Nick Rhodes and Roger Taylor, all of which were in Duran Duran. Arcadia was Duran Duran minus Andy Taylor and John Taylor. They had joined the Power Station with Robert Palmer. Arcadia had a little more depth than Duran Duran. Sting even sang on "The Promise". Arcadia came out with one album called "So Red the Rose".

What is YOUR guilty pleasure?
Everybody has a guilty pleasure when it comes to music. Something you listen to when you know nobody else is around. The song that comes on in your car and you roll up the windows. I'm pretty open about liking really pathetic music but I too have some things I wouldn't openly admit to. For example, I was listening to my Ipod the other day and the "Golden Girls" theme song came on. Yes, I started to sing to it. Oh, I also like the "Growing Pains" theme song. (I'm not the only one who likes that though. It's even been harmonized in my living room.) At work today I was listening to my Ipod and George Michael's "Monkey" came on. Great song. I also like "Word Up" by Cameo. So I ask, what is your guilty pleasure?

Spice up your life!
The year was 1996 and the song "Wannabe" was released. What was this cheesy British music? It was a contrived band called the Spice Girls. They had many hits in the mid-late 90's including "Say You'll Be There", "2 become 1" and "Spice Up Your Life". They also released a movie in 1997 called "Spice World". I remember Javen and his friend Backer went to see that movie when it first came out. I believe they also had some sort of music video that they would dance to(although that may have been George Michael, I can't quite remember. It was a long time ago).
The Spice Girls broke up in 2000. They are still around and there has been a lot of talk about a Spice Girls reunion. I guess we'll just have to have hope that this happens someday(and you know it will. Look at the Police, Eagles, Etc.) We know that Victoria Beckham(Posh Spice) married David Beckham. She does nothing and looks weird.
Mel B (Scary Spice) had a baby by Eddie Murphy. Eddie has stated that the child is not his and left Mel early in her pregnancy. He has yet to take a paternity test and step up. Who knew Eddie Murphy was such a piece of shit?
Mel C(Sporty Spice) had a good techno song in 2000. It was called "I Turn to You".
Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice)isn't really doing anything. She had a baby last year. She caused some controversy when she posed topless before joining the Spice Girls.
Emma Bunton(Baby Spice) hasn't really done anything either. I think she may be having a baby.
